Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 July 2026

1. About Carely

Carely is a marketplace connecting UK families with independent carers. Carely is not an employment agency and does not employ carers. Carers on the platform are self-employed independent contractors.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older and legally entitled to work in the UK (carers) or to contract for care (families) to use Carely.

3. Vetting & responsibility

Carers upload DBS certificates and right-to-work documentation. Carely performs reasonable checks but makes no guarantee of suitability. Families are responsible for their own due diligence, including interviewing and requesting references.

4. Bookings & payments

  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Carely charges a service fee shown at checkout.
  • Bookings are contracts between the family and the carer, not with Carely.
  • Refunds follow the cancellation policy shown at the time of booking.
  • Disputes should first be raised between the parties, then with Carely support.

5. Prohibited use

No off-platform circumvention of fees, no discriminatory conduct, no false credentials, no unsafe or unlawful care. Violation can result in immediate suspension.

6. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carely's liability arising from the use of the platform is limited to the fees paid to Carely in the previous 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under English law.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
